Antonio Alessandria
Born and raised in Sicily, he revealed an early passion for everything related to the senses. He grew up between his mother’s fashion atelier and the seduction of classical music thanks to his sister’s piano studies.
However, he chose to follow scientific studies and graduated in Electronic Engineering. He started working for a major company in the semiconductor industry, but he never forgot his early passions.
Intrigued since childhood by the world of perfume, he had a revelation when he came across the world of artistic perfumery. From that moment he decided to start a professional training in perfumery, so he attended Mouillettes and Co in Italy and Cinquième Sens in Paris. After these studies Antonio had the opportunity to deepen his knowledge in formulation thanks to the help of some independent affirmed perfumers.
Meanwhile, led by his passion for perfumes, he decided to open Boudoir 36, a perfumery shop in Catania, his hometown, dedicated to high quality and hard-to-find fragrances. He imagined a cozy parlor, a place out of any time reference, which would welcome people with beautiful perfumery creations and amazing stories. The opening of the shop took place on October 31st, 2005. In less than ten years Boudoir 36 has become famous and Antonio Alessandria’s know-how and expertise are recognized in Italy and abroad.
In 2014 he launched his eponymous brand, Antonio Alessandria Parfums.
He also creates fragrances for other brands and for individuals, both for the body and for the rooms.
He strongly believes in fragrances as a form of art and has collaborated with several artists in multisensorial exhibitions.

According to Antonio, each fragrance tells a story. When he approaches the creation of a fragrance he always starts from a story he wants to tell in terms of olfactive feelings. He chooses raw materials only for their meaningful and expressive power. After he orchestrates them like a choir who sings a unique song with lot of different voices. The whole process requires technical skills, artistic talent and a refined taste.
